Watersmeet

A tasty Sunday breakfast drew our attention away from the persistent fine rain, wind and mist outside; though there was no talk of packing up the easels and heading for home.

A trip to the spectacular Valley of the Rocks reminded us of it’s rugged beauty, but today, wreathed in heavy rain and wind, it was unworkable. One for the future.

Taking an optimistic drive to Watersmeet gave us the unexpected gift of ‘warm and dry’, plus a good light on a delightful location.  We set up for a two hour session on the riverbank and attempted in our various styles to capture the colour of the mineral-laden water, the autumnal foliage, and for me – the movement of the water.
